Omnivore closed. Keep the highlights you made.
Omnivore's team joined ElevenLabs in October 2024 and the hosted app closed in November 2024. If you downloaded the export, its highlights folder is plain Markdown, and Noteshik's Markdown import reads it as it is. Your list of saved links can come along too, through the converter below.
Noteshik Free gives you 60 notes and 100 MB of storage. Pro is $24.99 a year or $3.99 a month, and new subscribers pay $8.99 for their first year of Pro yearly (one time only).
Use your Omnivore export

Find the export .zip Omnivore emailed you. Inside are highlights/*.md (your highlights, one file per article), contents/*.html (saved pages) and metadata_*.json (the list of saved items).

Highlights: upload the .zip as it is. In Noteshik, open Import, choose Markdown and upload the Omnivore .zip. Each highlights file becomes a note in a folder named highlights.

Saved links: unzip and drop the metadata_*.json files below. The converter builds Markdown notes of your links, grouped by label, and you upload that .zip the same way.

Used the Omnivore plugin for Obsidian? Zip that vault folder and upload it with the Obsidian import instead.
If you did not download an export before the shutdown, Omnivore deleted the hosted data. We can only import files you already have.
Convert your Omnivore links into notes
Makes a .zip of Markdown notes, one per tag, up to 250 links each. Upload it in Noteshik under Import › Markdown.

- Every highlights .md file, one note per article
- Your saved-link list with titles, labels and save dates (via the converter)
- Notes from an Obsidian vault the Omnivore plugin wrote

- The saved page copies in contents/*.html. The Markdown import reads .md files only.

What was announced
TechCrunch reported on October 29, 2024 that ElevenLabs hired the Omnivore team, that Omnivore would shut down, and that users could export their data until mid-November 2024, after which "the data will be deleted."

Questions
Will the saved article text come across?
Not from contents/*.html. Noteshik's Markdown import reads .md files, so your highlights and the link list come across; the saved page copies do not.
Is my Omnivore file uploaded by this page?
No. The link converter runs in your browser. Only the .zip you upload inside the Noteshik app reaches our servers.
What if I have more highlights than the free plan holds?
Noteshik brings in the first 60 notes on the Free plan. New subscribers can then take Pro yearly for $8.99 for the first year (one time only) to bring in the rest.
