Frequently asked questions
Will I lose any formatting?
No. We preserve text formatting, lists, checkboxes, tables, code blocks, links, and inline images. Notes look the same in Noteshik as they did in Evernote.
Will my notebooks survive?
Yes. Each Evernote notebook becomes a folder in Noteshik with the same name. If you used nested notebooks (Evernote stacks), those become nested folders.
What about tags and attachments?
Tags carry over exactly. Attachments (PDFs, images, audio, anything you'd attached) come with the notes and stay searchable.
Why don't you just ask for my Evernote login?
Asking for your password would be a phishing-shaped pattern, would break on 2FA, and would violate Evernote's ToS. The .enex export is officially supported by Evernote and gives us everything we need without ever touching your credentials.
How long does an import take?
Under a minute for libraries up to ~1,000 notes. For 10,000+ note libraries we run the import in the background and email you when it's done.
Is my data safe during the upload?
The upload is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. The source .enex is deleted from our servers immediately after parsing. Your Evernote account is untouched — you can keep it active or cancel it on your own schedule.
Can I undo or import again?
Yes. You can re-import a file (we deduplicate on Evernote's note GUID), and you can delete imported notes individually or by folder if you change your mind.
What if I don't have all my notes in one .enex file?
Just drop multiple files in one after another. Noteshik merges them into the same library, no duplicates.
