Install in Chrome or Edge

Download and unzip
Download the Chrome / Edge zip below and unzip it. You get a folder with manifest.json inside — keep that folder somewhere it can stay (the browser loads the extension from it).

Open the extensions page
In Chrome type chrome://extensions in the address bar. In Edge type edge://extensions. Switch on Developer mode (top right in Chrome, left sidebar in Edge).

Load unpacked
Click "Load unpacked" and pick the folder you unzipped. The Noteshik icon appears in the toolbar — pin it from the puzzle-piece menu if you like.

Sign in and clip
Click the icon (or press Alt+Shift+N), sign in with your Noteshik Pro account, pick Article, Full page, Selection or Bookmark, and press "Clip to Noteshik". Right-click any selection, link or image to clip without the popup. On a free account the popup shows an upgrade prompt instead.

Download the Firefox zip
Save the Firefox zip below. No need to unzip it.

Open the debugging page
Type about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox in the address bar.

Load temporary add-on
Click "Load Temporary Add-on…" and choose the zip. The Noteshik button appears in the toolbar. A temporary add-on is removed when Firefox closes — the addons.mozilla.org listing, once approved, installs permanently.

Sign in and clip
Click the button, sign in with your Noteshik Pro account, choose a clip type and press "Clip to Noteshik".
The permanent install comes from addons.mozilla.org once Mozilla’s review is through; the link will appear here.

Why is it a zip and not a store link yet?+
The extension is finished and works against the live Noteshik service. The Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons listings are being submitted and each store reviews new extensions before publishing. Until they are approved, loading the zip yourself is the same code — leave your email below and we send one message when the store links are live.
Do I need a paid plan?+
Yes. The Web Clipper is a Noteshik Pro feature — Pro is $3.99/mo or $24.99/yr, Premium includes it too. A free account can install the extension and sign in, but instead of the clip form it sees an upgrade prompt that takes you to noteshik.app/upgrade.
What does it read from the pages I visit?+
Only the page you clip, only when you click the icon or use its right-click menu. It does not run in the background, does not track browsing, and talks to one server: noteshik.app. Notes are stored encrypted at rest and sent over TLS.
Will an unpacked extension keep working?+
Yes. Chrome and Edge keep an unpacked extension until you remove it (Chrome may show a reminder that it is in developer mode). Firefox drops a temporary add-on when the browser closes — that is a Firefox rule for unsigned add-ons, which the store listing resolves. Sessions last seven days without clipping; after that you sign in again.
Does it work with the Android app?+
Clips are ordinary notes in your account, so they sync to the Android app and the web app like anything else.
