Evernote on a Fire tablet: how to move your notes for free
Evernote’s Android app is built for Google Play devices and its free plan now limits you to a handful of notes. If you have a Fire tablet, the practical route is to export once and switch. Noteshik reads Evernote’s .enex format directly and is free on the Amazon Appstore.

Export from Evernote as .enex
On the Evernote desktop app, right-click a notebook (or select all notes) and choose Export › ENEX. One file per notebook keeps things tidy. Tags and attachments are included in the file.

Import at noteshik.com/import
On any computer, create a free Noteshik account and upload the .enex files. Notebooks become folders, tags stay tags, attachments come along. Large exports take a few minutes.

Install Noteshik on the Fire tablet
Open the Amazon Appstore on the tablet, search Noteshik, tap Get. No Google Play needed.

Sign in with the same account
Use the email you imported with. Your folders are there; new notes you write on the web show up on the tablet after you sign in.
What carries over
- Notes with formatting, checklists and images
- Notebooks (as folders) and tags
- Attachments such as PDFs, and note creation dates
The import runs on the web, not on the tablet, because Evernote exports are large and a computer is the easiest place to handle the files. It only has to be done once.
